Joseph Gregory Yu 余尚賢
DPhil, MSc (Oxon), MA (St Andrews)

Curriculum Vitae 履

Professional
info

Joseph is currently a secondary teacher of history and politics in London. He is a recent PhD graduate in Anthropology at the University of Oxford. Hailed from Hong Kong where he finished his secondary education at Queen's College, he gained his MA with honours from the University of St Andrews reading International Relations and Modern History, and afterwards an MSc in Visual, Material and Museum Anthropology at the University of Oxford.

His academic interest lies in the triangle of anthropology-history-archaeology (AHA), believing that the three disciplines are fundamentally related to each other and should not be studied separately. His current research interests are (history) transnational and colonial history of education, (anthropology) development of museums in indigenous communities and East Asia, (International Relations) security issues in North Korea and East Asia.

Joseph is also an amateur videographer, musician and composer, proficient in a number of string, wind, percussion and folk instruments.
